Woods Bagot drew inspiration from the Queensland landscape for the new commercial office tower at 1 William St, Brisbane. The tower, which will accommodate the Queensland Public Service, features a full-height atrium to enable a non-hierarchical work space. Stylecraft furniture selected by Woods Bagot allow the users of the workplace to change from collaborative spaces to concentrated private working areas depending on the task at hand.
A Bloom circlet by Keith Melbourne provides an inclusive meeting space while a cluster of Colina Sled Base and upholstered Armchairs by Arper in the atrium area allow for a drop-by informal meeting area. Ivy chairs designed by ESO and upholstered in a deep orange, mirror the tones of the rug in the setting, referencing arid parts of Queensland to allow for a cohesive interior fulfilling the aim for the aesthetic to be distinctly Queensland.
