The hygge themed evening was an opportunity to introduce Eikund and the unique story behind the brand to the local design community. While enjoying mulled wine by Blake's Feast and live oyster shucking by Blackman Bay Oysters, we heard from Eikund’s co-founder Jorgen Tengesdal, about how the collection has been founded by uncovering hidden Norwegian design classics. Sourcing original drawings from the archives of renowned mid-century Norwegian designers has resulted in the pieces we see today such as the Fluffy Lounge, Krysset Lounge Chair and Oya Tables.
Guests enjoyed a treasure hunt of their own, with the winner of the hunt uncovering an Isbjorn – a beautiful interpretation of the polar bear, designed in 1955 by Arne Tjomsland.
Thank you to those that joined us for the evening.
