Saturday Indesign made a welcome return to Melbourne after several years hiatus, offering a day of design immersion for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Across four levels of the Melbourne showroom, our HOME/WORK/LEARN concept revealed the versatility of Stylecraft’s local and international ranges spanning the residential, workplace and education sectors.
In the StylecraftHOME showroom, designed by HASSELL and opened in mid-2018, we presented lounge collections such as Julep by Tacchini and Noe by Verzelloni. Saturday Indesign also gave Stylecraft the opportunity to launch the new Sedis chair and stool collection, designed by Anne-Claire Petre of Anaca Studio. Also in HOME, a collaboration with popular design blog, Meanwhile in Melbourne, consisted of a series of curated areas in the HOME showroom featuring objects, ceramics and artwork from local makers.
Our WORK level was the platform to launch the new Stix workstation by ThinkingWorks, Aero modular collection by Keith Melbourne and Nave High Back Lounge by Skeehan Studio. The modular Kiik system by Arper demonstrated the flexibility of the range by featuring multiple seating options, consoles and side tables, perfectly suited to the modern workplace.
On Level 2 the styling expressed an education setting such as a secondary school or university and was an opportunity to introduce both local and international collections. New Australian designed and manufactured collections presented included Adapt Hub and ottomans by Ross Gardam, as well as a preview of the new Bauhaus ottoman range designed by Helen Kontouris for LEN. Two new ranges by Arper, the stackable Stacy chair and the Cila Go stool and chair, were placed on the LEARN level due to their suitability for education fit outs.
To cap a successful day, Stylecraft hosted an after party for clients and friends of Stylecraft with a surprise guest DJ appearance by Boy George, a night which will be remembered by all present for some time!
Thank you to all who contributed to our Saturday Indesign event and thank you to everybody who attended our showroom over the course of the day and evening.
