The choice of materiality and refined palette selected by Geyer for Iluka Resources’ new Perth headquarters subtly references the company’s end product of mineral sand. Iluka has a long history in the mining industry in WA, and to welcome their stakeholders the lobby area features the Stain chair with a tan leather seat and Polygon timber coffee table by Croatian brand Prostoria.

The workspace design centres around the notion of ‘revitalise’, to empower employees to innovate whilst also enhancing wellbeing in the workplace. Aava chairs with timber leg by Arper were selected for a collaborative and social space near the workspace’s distinctive staircase. Softscape lounges by LEN in a muted charcoal and oatmeal colourway provide booth seating for meetings or a private space to concentrate. Overall, the result of the choice of finishes, furniture and materials combine to ensure the fit-out aligns with the evolution of Iluka Resources as a business.
