QUT College

A renowned destination of the QUT Kelvin Grove campus, the newly refurbished P Block has transformed the college into a place that facilitates diversity and a supportive platform into the greater university.

PDT Architects were engaged by QUT to reconfigure and reimagine the existing spaces within the QUT College (P Block) to enhance the student and staff experience. The refurbishment of the college was a primary opportunity to integrate a design that represents key aspects of Australian culture; while constituting a place of learning, growth, development and change – allowing students and staff to flourish.

Home 1 and Home 3 lounges by ESO paired with Dizzie Coffee Table by Arper provide break-out areas for staff and students to meet.

Collaboration zones located between the meeting and working spaces feature Rix Armchair by ESO.

The combination of Home 3 Armchair by ESO and Bloom Freestanding Occasional Table by Keith Melbourne provides a private area for staff or students to meet. Whilst the Stylus Table by Stylecraft allows for more focused work to take place in this area whether as individuals or as a group.

The Blade Table by Thinking Works and Kabi Office Chair by Akaba compliment the meeting rooms allowing for small and large groups.

The QUT fit out now provides high-quality teaching spaces, increased access and connectivity between teaching and student zones and efficient office space. Which reflects a sense of collaboration, community, creativity and supportiveness.
