Designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1975 and reissued by Tacchini in 2025, Africa is a tribute to the ancient art of cabinetmaking.

The sculptural form, distinctive split backrest and balanced proportions highlight a timeless approach to structure and craftsmanship. Crafted from solid Canaletto Walnut, Africa features a curved upholstered seat and a hand-finished backrest with black inlay detailing. The visible grain and layered woodwork celebrate traditional cabinetmaking techniques.
