Unveiled in June as part of the official Stylecraft Melbourne Open Day, the new commercial showroom space at 145 Flinders Lane further strengthens Stylecraft's presence in the Melbourne design community.
Designed by Geyer in collaboration with builders FDC Construction, Levels 1 and 2 are dedicated to Stylecraft's commercial offering, with the residential StylecraftHOME showroom occupying the Lower Ground & Ground floors. Level 1 acts as a space to preview Stylecraft's exclusive local and overseas ranges, while also housing the Melbourne-based Sales team. The design by Geyer on Level 1 uses texture, contrasting materials and tones to allow the furniture collections and the building's heritage features to be the hero. The Flinders Lane & Russell Street corner on Level 1 is a focal point for the showroom, enhanced by Geyer's design which incorporates a raised platform.
Agile working and workstations are located on Level 2, providing an indication of an activity-based workplace utilising Stylecraft's range of modular lounges, workstations and accessories. On both commercial levels, Geyer has considered the acoustic properties of the design by utilising Parentesit wall panels from Arper and the innovative Pillow Wall series by Cascando.
