Celebrating the Women of Stylecraft

This International Women’s Day we are reflecting internally on how women shape Stylecraft – our team, our leadership and our future.

Our current national team comprising 64% females represent every department, from Sales to Operations, with a female State Manager leading the sales team in every state.

In 2024, we celebrated our third year of all-female award winners, with Loretta Luo winning Salesperson of the Year, Widi Halim – Employee of the Year, Lucy Kiernan – Rising Star, and Cornelia Setiawan – Cultural Champion.

We spoke to Salesperson of the Year winner Loretta Luo about her journey at Stylecraft and what it means to lead her all-female Perth team.

Can you tell us about your career journey so far?

With a Master’s degree in Architecture, I found my passion lay in collaborating with architects and designers, rather than traditional practice. My career first commenced in retail sales for a leading tile supplier, and then in the commercial space for a European furniture designer. My journey at Stylecraft began as a Sales Consultant which then progressed to the role of State Manager of Western Australia.

Throughout my career at Stylecraft, I’ve had the privilege of promoting innovative and authentic design while helping clients find perfect solutions for their projects. One approach to design that I have discovered during my time at Stylecraft, and that particularly resonates with me is ‘designed for disassembly and re-use’. I find the thought process behind creating products with sustainable purpose both fascinating and inspiring, and it is rewarding to be part of a team that embraces this forward-thinking approach.

What does it mean to you to lead an all-female team in WA?

It’s a privilege to lead such a talented group of women in WA. Their capability and insightful ideas are a daily inspiration, and I’m consistently impressed by their depth of experience. The close collaboration and mutual support we foster as a team create a profoundly empowering dynamic.

I believe the key ingredients for a great team are trust and respect, where we can be authentic and vulnerable. It’s about celebrating our successes, learning from our challenges, and creating a space where everyone feels valued and heard. It’s not just about the work we do, but about the impact we have on each other and the wider community.
