Tell us about your Stylecraft journey. Where did you start, and where are you now?

I joined Stylecraft as the Melbourne Receptionist and Showroom Coordinator at the beginning of 2018, drawn to a workplace culture which I felt really aligned with. During my first year I progressed through Sales Support to Sales Consultant, we launched Ross Gardam’s Adapt collection, and opened StylecraftHOME Melbourne! Some highlights from my time in Melbourne included working on Marvel Stadium and Warwick’s Design Studio, along with countless stunning residential projects, which culminated in winning Stylecraft Salesperson of the Year for 2021 – rewarded with an unforgettable trip to Salone del Mobile in Milan.

In early 2022 I relocated to the Brisbane showroom for a fresh challenge in a growing market. Since then, my product knowledge has continued to develop, I have supported my clients on some fantastic projects here in QLD, and even covered Canberra projects for some time. Now, as I approach 4 years in Brisbane, I feel very well established in the QLD design community.

How has Stylecraft supported your growth and development?

Starting at Stylecraft in Melbourne was invaluable – from learning alongside one of the larger sales teams and sharing the office with our product team, to being able to build direct relationships with the Australian designers we work with here at Stylecraft – allowing for successful collaboration, and real confidence in our Australian design offering.

I also couldn’t leave out the amazing education on our European brands that I experienced at Salone in Milan; visiting the Artemide lighting factory, and finally putting a face to the name of so many European colleagues we work with so often!

What advice would you give to others looking to progress in their career?

Take pride in the work you do and do it authentically, you might not be the only person doing your role, but you are the only you… and stay curious!

Tell us about your Stylecraft journey. Where did you start, and where are you now?

I joined Stylecraft in 2016 as Sales Support in the Adelaide showroom, later moved into Senior Sales Support, and now I’m a Sales Consultant. Along the way, I was honoured to win the inaugural ‘Cultural Champion’ award in 2019, which was a special moment in my journey at Stylecraft.

How has Stylecraft supported your growth and development?

Stylecraft has really supported my growth over the years. Working closely with designers, consultants and suppliers has expanded my understanding of design, materials and the commercial furniture space, and being around passionate, design driven people has helped build my skills and confidence.

I’ve been trusted with responsibilities that pushed me outside my comfort zone, which strengthened my problem solving and overall confidence. The team has always been open with mentoring and knowledge sharing and being surrounded by quality design has helped me speak more confidently about it.

Overall, the support and trust from the team have played a big part in shaping me.

What advice would you give to others looking to progress in their career?

Say yes to opportunities that stretch you. Ask questions, seek feedback, and surround yourself with people who inspire you or who you can learn from.
