Your Invitation to celebrate Australian Design at Melbourne Design Week 2026
Australia’s most significant furniture & lighting prize, founded by Stylecraft and presented in collaboration with the National Gallery of Victoria, the Australian Furniture Design Award (AFDA) celebrates the most innovative furniture and lighting design being created in this country – now in its sixth iteration. This year’s finalists bring their realised designs in response to the theme Living Well, Living Small, to our ground floor showroom for exhibition and judging throughout Melbourne Design Week.
The winner receives a $20,000 cash prize and the opportunity to develop a commercial range with Stylecraft.

Featuring locally designed and made furniture and lighting by renowned designers Ross Gardam, Tom Skeehan, Keith Melbourne and Helen Kontouris, the showroom reflects Stylecraft’s commitment to good design, quality and collaboration. The collection is headlined by the latest lounge releases from Helen Kontouris, Ad-Hoc.
