Chatterbox House
Chatterbox House
Inspired by the paper-folding game Chatterbox, Nest Architecture has explored a folded-like structure to enhance the quality of natural light throughout this family home.
This folded approach breaks up the building’s mass, creating compact yet considered spaces that allow sunlight to penetrate deep into the interiors. Curved joinery elements and finishes soften transitions between rooms, creating a cozy, nestled, and causal ambience. Referencing this design language, the Australian designed and manufactured Sedis Stool by ACP Atelier complements the island bench through its sculptural curves balanced with strong, minimalist lines.
Grounding the dining area is the Marcel Chair by Ritzwell, another piece defined by its elegant curved backrest, which echoes the home’s fluid form. Offering a calm embrace of comfort, the chair encourages moments of joy while absorbing the daylight glow. Completing the dining setting, the Ora Pendant by Melbourne-based designer Ross Gardam is finished in champagne gold to heighten the warm tones of the space.
