Our Commitment to Australian Design & Manufacturing
Our commitment to Australian design runs deep, fostering local talent and championing collaborations with manufacturers, craftsmen, and artisans.
By prioritising local production, we offer shorter lead times, bespoke customisation, and a direct connection to Australian designers. In 2015, we launched the Australian Furniture Design Award (AFDA), now presented in partnership with the NGV, reinforcing our dedication to design innovation.
Many of our products are proudly designed and manufactured in Australia, a testament to the quality and authenticity of our local craftsmanship.

First hosted in 2015, the Australian Furniture Design Award (AFDA) has become one of the country’s most significant furniture design accolades. In 2019, its third iteration marked a new chapter as Stylecraft partnered with the National Gallery of Victoria.
The award offers a career-defining opportunity, with the winner receiving $20,000, a residency at the JamFactory Furniture Studio, and the chance to develop a new range for distribution through Stylecraft showrooms across Australia.
Previous winners include Seaton McKeon (2015), Elliat RIch (2017), James Walsh (2019), Ashley Eriksmoen (2022) and Marta Figueiredo (2024).
