Gene Chair
Gene Chair
The Gene Chair, designed by Taku Kumazawa for Axona Aichi, is defined by a simple and contemporary design that prioritises functionality. Its clean profile is enhanced by a perforated seat core with expanding slits, creating light and comfortable seating for extended use.
The polypropylene shell is manufactured from 100% recycled pre-consumer waste by-products, paired with a high-tension steel frame for durability. The simple construction allows for easy disassembly and recycling of each material type. Featuring an upholstered seat and inner backrest, the seat is available in standard or luxe versions, with the luxe version offering increased padding for additional comfort. The outer back is available in polypropylene, timber veneer or upholstery.
